What is a School of Sanctuary?

Through a framework called Learn/Action/Share, schools work to strengthen their identity as a place of welcome and inclusion in their community, becoming a beacon of sanctuary for those who are vulnerable to marginalisation or isolation

In the Sanctuary journey, as they work to becoming a Champion School of Sanctuary, schools demonstrate a commitment to become ever more inclusive places, taking an active and visible stance against prejudice and racism. Standing in solidarity with those who need sanctuary in our communities and in our world, students are shown the paths to build a more harmonious and peaceful Ireland.
